Bitty vs CodeBreak.
Both put a little pixel character on your screen while AI works. They do different jobs, though, and plenty of people would happily run both.
The short version
CodeBreak is a status companion for Claude Code on the Mac: its character reacts as Claude thinks, finishes, errors or needs your input, so you know when to look back.
Bitty is what to do in the meantime: a desktop buddy with quick brain games sized to the wait. It doesn’t watch any AI tool, so it works next to all of them, on Mac, Windows and Linux.

Pick CodeBreak if…
- You use Claude Code on a Mac and mainly want to know, at a glance, when it’s done or stuck.
- You prefer a one-time purchase.
Pick Bitty if…
- You want something to do in the wait instead of a feed.
- You use Cursor, ChatGPT, Codex or several tools, not just Claude Code.
- You’re on Windows or Linux.
- You’d rather nothing watches your terminal or AI sessions.
- You want to start free.
Or use both
They don’t overlap. Let a status signal tell you when Claude is done (CodeBreak, or Claude Code’s built-in notifications: see how to set them up), and play a round of Bitty until it does.
- Start your AI as usual.
- Open Bitty: click the little buddy on your desktop, or press Option+Shift+B on a Mac (Alt+Shift+B on Windows and Linux).
- Pick the wait: a 5-second Blitz, 15, 30 or 60 seconds, or a 5-minute Boss Fight.
- Press Esc when your AI is done. You’re straight back at your work.
